TOLERANT Software at the Global Digital Banking Summit 2025 in Berlin

The Global Digital Banking Summit took place in Berlin on 22 and 23 May 2025 – an international industry event with almost 70 participants from the world of banking and finance. TOLERANT Software was on site together with its business partner Dassault Systèmes and took part in the Banking Summit programme with two specialist presentations.

Focus on data quality and digital processes: presentation by Mihal Berberoglu

On the first day of the conference, Mihal Berberoglu, Managing Director Global Sales & Marketing at TOLERANT Software, spoke on the topic of “Digitalisation for financial service providers: with data quality from TOLERANT Software and the 3DExperience platform from Dassault Systèmes”. Using a realistic scenario – digital account opening – he illustrated how a fully digital, secure and compliant onboarding process can be realised with the help of the BPM tool Iterop from Dassault Systèmes and the data quality solutions TOLERANT Name, TOLERANT Post and the KYC module from TOLERANT.

Berberoglu demonstrated how early validation and automatic completion of customer data ensures data quality right from the start of data entry in web portals or mobile apps. In conjunction with Iterop as a process and compliance orchestrator, customer information can be processed efficiently, risk checks can be triggered and all regulatory requirements can be documented transparently. The result: an account is opened in just a few minutes – fully GDPR-compliant, error-free and traceable.

Systems thinking for banks: lecture by Taherah Kuhl

On the second day, Taherah Kuhl, Global Vice President of Dassault Systèmes, presented the topic “Virtual twins for the financial world – with CATIA Magic for regulatory security”.
She presented how banks can better understand, simulate and fulfil complex regulatory requirements by using the model-based system development software CATIA Magic. The solution is based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and has been used successfully for years in highly regulated industries such as aviation, defence and life sciences.

A concrete case study showed how a major bank used a “virtual twin” to visualise interdependencies between regulatory requirements such as the EU regulation DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act), OpRes (Operational Resilience) and BCBS 239 (Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s standard number 239) and was able to optimise its processes accordingly. The use of digital models helped to break down silos, simulate scenarios and react more quickly to new legal framework conditions.

Conclusion:

Clean data and intelligent process solutions are essential prerequisites for digital transformation in the financial world. Together with Dassault Systèmes, TOLERANT Software offers powerful tools to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction and regulatory security in the banking sector.
