Moving towards the future together – a look at our week
As an editor, I get to follow how the various teams document and reflect on their work on our Jira boards every week. When you take a closer look at this flow of information, it’s not just to-do lists that emerge, but above all spaces for reflection. For the past week, three recurring themes can be identified that run through marketing, development, product strategy and consulting, and show what has been driving us.
The first theme is the constant pursuit of excellent data quality. In marketing, a new concept emerged for a series of articles on the importance of clean customer data for long-term relationships. The central question was how to present dry technical topics in a way that sparks enthusiasm without diluting the technical core. At the same time, the developers discussed further fine-tuning of our duplicate detection algorithms. It was less about lines of code and more about user perspectives: how can we ensure that users can rely on the results whilst retaining full control over their data? This exchange demonstrates how closely the connection between marketing and product development is lived out within our organisation – one side tells the stories, the other provides the substance behind them.
A second recurring theme centred on responsibility in the age of artificial intelligence. The EU is working on new rules for the use of AI systems, and this discourse was reflected in our board meetings. Teams from senior management, product management and compliance addressed the question of what impact the upcoming regulations might have on our solutions. The general consensus: for us, adhering to high ethical standards is a matter of course – not just when the legislator demands it. This stance also informed internal workshops where the principles of ‘Privacy by Design’ and ‘Explainable AI’ were discussed. Specific product planning remains confidential, but the discussion shows that we are actively grappling with the balance between innovation and responsibility.
Ultimately, the week was marked by the realisation that innovation is a team sport. Several initiatives emerged in the boards where colleagues from different departments prepared joint workshops – whether to improve our demo environment for upcoming events or to coordinate with external partners. A feedback process was initiated in which Sales and Consulting feed insights from customer discussions into product development. And last but not least, the topic of internal collaboration itself was on the agenda: how do we manage to make room for creative breaks that provide us with fresh ideas, despite high workloads? These questions lead us to what defines us as a company: the desire to learn from one another and move forward together.
Looking back at the past week reveals a multifaceted picture: we are working on technical precision, paying attention to legal and ethical frameworks, and fostering a culture of collaboration. It is precisely this mix that sets TOLERANT Software apart – the conviction that clean data and responsible technology form the basis for trusting relationships, and that true innovation can only emerge through collaboration. The Jira entries may provide dry snippets of information, but behind them are people who are thinking deeply. And we share these thoughts week after week with “TOLERANT Inside”.
