Despite advancing technological developments and a growing awareness of data management, many companies have still not fully realized that high data quality is an essential prerequisite for effective customer relationship management.
TOLERANT Software Managing Director Stefan Sedlacek was interviewed by the online magazine WebsitePlanet.

Different encodings are a major source of problems during data migration. These include character codes such as UTF-8 and ASCII, as well as different alphabets such as those used in Japanese. If data records from different systems are merged, they must therefore be cleansed and recoded before migration. The data quality tools from Stuttgart-based software specialist TOLERANT Software can provide support here, as they can read and analyse texts from different writing systems.

TOLERANT Software uses AI-based associative memory technology for the error-tolerant search for duplicates. The TL Match data quality tool from TOLERANT Software thus finds duplicate data records even if they are spelt differently.

In a podcast interview, Stefan Sedlacek gave an insight into the problem of customer data and how this can be solved with the help of the relocation data tool TL Move. The podcast interview was conducted by Ashley Steele. You can read an extract from the interview here.

Our brand new product video is dedicated to our compliance products TL Sanction and TL PEP. These two tools are crucial for your business processes because they give you legal certainty and help you to adhere to compliance guidelines.

Data half-life

The half-life of customer data is seven years on average. This means that after seven years, half of the data is already out of date, for example because customers have moved house, got married or taken out a new telephone contract. The data quality tools TL Match, TL Post, TL Name, TL Move and TL Bank from TOLERANT Software considerably increase the half-life of customer data.
